*SPOILERS* WWE NXT Taping Results (01.30.19) – MAJOR TITLE CHANGE…Maybe?

Full spoilers:
- Johnny Gargano opens the show with his new North American Title and says that “Johnny Wrestling” is back. Tommaso Ciampa interrupts to talk about their reunion at the end of TakeOver but Gargano says no – he came out at the end of the show to pose alongside Ciampa to show that he didn’t NEED him to win gold of his own. Velveteen Dream then comes out and says that since he won the Worlds Collide tournament (spoiler alert), he can have any title match he wants… and he wants Gargano for the North American Championship.
- Jaxson Ryker def. Mansoor by pinfall
-
- After the match, the Forgotten Sons stake their claim in their goal to win the Tag Team Titles.
- Drew Gulak def. Eric Bugenhagen by submission
-
- Gulak cuts a post-match promo and insults NXT so Matt Riddle interrupts and we get an impromptu match.

- The Street Profits def. Humberto Carrillo/Stacey Ervin Jr. by pinfall
-
- Street Profits talk about wanting in on the tag team title action before they are interrupted by Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel as well as Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch. The War Raiders come out but the Undisputed Era attack them from behind and roll them into the ring with the other three tag teams. However, the War Raiders overpower them and then stare down the UE from the ring.
- Aliyah def. Taynara Conti by submission
-
- Afterwards, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir attack both women as well as Vanessa Bourne, who had come down to ringside.

-
- After the match, Shayna, Jessamyn and Marina attack Mia and also attack an intervening Jessie, Lacey Lane and MJ Jenkins.
- North American Title: Velveteen Dream def. Johnny Gargano (c) by pinfall to WIN the title
-
- Afterwards, Gargano attacked Dream and took the title back before posing on the ramp. Ciampa came out and posed beside him this time.
- Weirdly enough, they seemed to have shot another ending because Gargano came back out to the ring and this time he dodged Velveteen’s finish and made him tap out with the Gargano-Escape. It’s possible that they may go with this and say that Gargano retained the championship.

NSAC Warns They Could Stop Working with USADA • MMA News
NSAC Warns They Could Stop Working with USADA • MMA News
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) wants the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to improve its communication skills. If they don’t the two sides might just end their working relationship. Yesterday (Tues. January 29, 2019), a three-hour hearing in Las Vegas took place to determine the fighting future of UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in Las Vegas.
Jones was granted a conditional one-fight license to defend his title at UFC 235 in March against Anthony Smith. During the hearing, however, two NSAC executives voiced their frustrations with USADA. NSAC Chairman Anthony Marnell spoke to reporters after the hearing. Marnell reminded that the testing program must be approved by the state. However, it can also be unapproved by the state.
If the CSAC gets to a point where they’re unhappy with USADA, the agency might just get unapproved for fights in Nevada (via MMA Junkie):
“The issue they all have to recognize is, that testing program is approved by the state,” Marnell said. “That testing program can also be un-approved by the state. If it gets to the point where we’re unhappy, then we’ll have a hearing to determine if that should perpetuate in Nevada.
“I’m not there yet. I don’t think we’re there yet – I think we need to work through some issues. But bumps are happening. This is a bump. This is a big bump. But it’s not like these bumps are happening every month.”
Do you think the NSAC would ever consider stopping working with USADA?

Artem Lobov and Ben Askren Exchange Insults on Social Media • MMA News
As noted yesterday (Tues. January 29, 2019), Artem Lobov was granted his release from the UFC. Lobov is now attempting to land an MMA, boxing, or kickboxing contract with another promotion. The UFC wanted to book Lobov for a show in April. However, the Russian didn’t want to wait that long and decided to ask for his release instead. “The Russian Hammer” exits the promotion on a three-fight losing streak.
His overall mixed martial arts (MMA) record stands at 13-15-1(1 NC). He is better known for being one of UFC mega-star Conor McGregor’s best friends and training partners at SBG Ireland. After being released by the UFC, Lobov looks eager to get back into the swing of things. He Tweeted out that he’s “locked and loaded,” and ready to take on all comers. Lobov tagged several combat sports promotions in the Tweet:
“Locked and loaded, ready to take on anyone and everyone!!! Who wants it!!?!@BellatorMMA @KSW_MMA @rizin_PR @bareknucklefc @ONEChampionship@ACA_League“

However, he got an unlikely response from UFC welterweight Ben Askren. Askren took a shot at Lobov for getting “cut” by the UFC:

This prompted an exchange of insults between the pair that lasted quite a while:

Askren has yet to fight in the UFC. He is set to make his Octagon debut against Robbie Lawler at UFC 235 in March. “Funky” is highly-regarded as one of the best 170-pound fighters on the planet. He’ll be present for the UFC 235 press conference in Las Vegas tomorrow.

Luke Rockhold Not Surprised by Jon Jones Steroid Controversy • MMA News
Luke Rockhold Not Surprised by Jon Jones Steroid Controversy • MMA News
Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has his sights set on a jump up to 205 pounds. If all goes according to plan, that means he’d be sharing the cage with current division champion Jon Jones. Jones has never been bested in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. However, Rockhold believes he has the skill set to become the first man to do exactly that.
The Californian recently sat down for a conversation with Helen Yee. He was asked about the recent steroid controversy surrounding the light heavyweight champ. Rockhold said he’s not surprised by it in the least (via BJPenn.com):
“Nope, I’m not [surprised],” Rockhold said. “I know this sport very well. Some people get away with it, some people don’t. It’s an annoying process but like I said, as long as I can focus on my strength and not deplete myself, I can still beat these guys at their best. On their best.
“Yes [Jones should have been punished]. Like everybody else. Like what the rule says. No one gets their treatment. They set rules and they break ’em. What’s the point of setting the rules?”
USADA Controversy
Jones recently reclaimed the light heavyweight throne in December. He defeated Alexander Gustafsson via third-round TKO in the main event of UFC 232. Initially, the fight was to be held in Nevada. However, traces of a banned substance, which Jones had already been suspended for, were found in his system.
It was determined that Jones had not reingested anything illegal. Instead, it was a pulsing effect from the initial incident he had already been punished for. But the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) could not grant him a license to fight in the state in time for UFC 232.
Thus, the promotion moved the event to California on short-notice. Now, Jones will make his fighting return to “Sin City” in March. He’ll defend his title for the first time since 2015, against Anthony “Lionheart” Smith.
Jones vs. Smith will main event UFC 235 on pay-per-view (PPV) March 2nd. A press conference for the PPV will be held tomorrow (Thurs. January 30, 2019) in Las Vegas.
What do you think about Rockhold’s comments on Jones?

Breaking News: Trent Beretta And Chuckie T Finishing Up In NJPW, Come To Terms With AEW

The Best Friends are finishing up in New Japan this week. Trent Beretta and Chuckie T are leaving NJPW. NJPW had scheduled to have a big push this year for Beretta. Beretta, however, informed NJPW that instead he will not be re-signing. As we have discussed before Beretta and Chuckie were talents that were coveted in many US companies with offers now going up it looks as though with the NJPW and AEW working agreement not happening anytime soon talent is beginning to choose where they want to work.

Freddie Roach Wants GSP To Fight Conor McGregor • MMA News
Boxing coach Freddie Roach hopes to see Georges St-Pierre fight one more time and to do so against Conor McGregor.
St-Pierre was last seen in action back in Nov. 2017. “Rush” challenged Michael Bisping for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight title. St-Pierre ended up submitting Bisping to become the new middleweight champion. The following month, St-Pierre vacated the title.
Roach Wants GSP vs. McGregor
Roach took the time to speak on Brendan Schaub’s “Below The Belt” show on Showtime. The renowned boxing coach said he believes St-Pierre is only interested in one more fight (via Bloody Elbow):
“I think one more. Just one.”
When asked about which fighter he’d like to see St-Pierre fight for his swan song, Roach said the following:
“The Irish boy. He’s got a big mouth. We’ll make the weight. Georges is on a new diet; it’s doing really great. We wanted to prove that we could go up in the higher weight division, and we did that. Then Dana got mad that we dropped that title.”
McGregor was handed a six-month suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his role in the UFC 229 brawl. Since the suspension is retroactive to Oct. 6, McGregor can return in April. Rumors are running wild of a McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone showdown during International Fight Week, but nothing has been confirmed.
UFC president Dana White has made it clear that he isn’t interested in seeing St-Pierre move down to lightweight. White has certainly changed his mind in the past, so time will tell if “Rush” eventually does fight McGregor.
Do you think Georges St-Pierre will return?

Smackdown Live! Live Coverage & Results (01.29.19)
Smackdown Live! Live Coverage & Results (01.29.19)

Hello and good evening once again wrestling world! Coming off of an eventful Royal Rumble, tonight’s Smackdown comes to us live from Phoenix, Arizona. Tonight, we find out exactly what it is that the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, has in plan when he says he vows to change the climate of WWE forever. Also, what implications will “The Man” Becky Lynch’s decision on facing Ronda Rousey have on the rest of the Smackdown Live women’s division? All this and more in the coming moments!
We start of the night with highlights from the Women’s Royal Rumble match. This match was of course by “The Man” Becky Lynch. We also see what happened during last night’s Raw; we see that Becky Lynch has chosen to face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.
Becky Lynch then makes her way to the ring, to a thunderous ovation from the Phoenix crowd. Becky starts off by recapping the events of the last couple of days. She says last night, she realized just how different her and Rousey really are. She says unlike Ronda, she does not crumble when she loses a match.
Lynch then goes on to say that she is proud that she came from nothing. She says that she is proud to have worked her tail off in the last year and to be main eventing WrestleMania this year. The WWE Universe lets her know that she deserves it. Becky says the main thing that she saw in Rousey’s eyes last night was something that she does not have any more and that’s doubt. As she finishes her speech, Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring.
In the ring, Flair sarcastically congratulates her former best friend. She talks about how she won a match that she was not supposed to be in. She says that she grew into “The Man” from lessons that she learned from “The Queen.” She says that she brought Lynch into the main event. Before she can say anything else, Becky Lynch hits Flair with a huge right hook. Lynch proceeds to leave the ring. While on the entrance ramp, Charlotte attacks her from behind and the two women begin to brawl. It takes about a half dozen officials to separate the women. The two women continue to argue as we go to commercial. (Commercial)
Up next, just two days after regaining his United States championship, Shinsuke Nakamura looks to defend his title against R-Truth!
United States Championship Match: R-Truth vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Before the match, Truth says he never got to enter the rumble match because of Nia Jax. He says if he hadn’t been attacked, he would have won the the match. He says the McMahon’s know it and that is why he is being granted the title opportunity against Shinsuke Nakamura.
The bell rings and Nakamura immediately hits Truth will multiple strikes, capping the exchange with a reverse exploder. Nakamura goes for the Kinshasa, but Truth is able to avoid it as we gotta commercial. (Commercial)
During the break, Nakamura completely dominated Trut, delivering still blow as “The King of Strong Style” does. He continues his assault with a flurry of knees to the midsection of R Truth who is hanging from the turnbuckle. He pins Truth, but he kicks out at two. Nakamura goes for a Landslide, but Truth reverses into a pin, and picks up a surprise victory. This victory comes to a shock to everyone, as it looks as if Nakamura may have kicked out before the three count. Nonetheless, R Truth wins.
Before Truth can celebrate, Rusev comes to the ring and says that none of this is right. He says he took the title from Nakamura because it deserves better than Nakamura. He says that it deserves better than R Truth, and he challenges him to a match right now. Carmella begins to argue with Lana, which leads to Lana being shoved to the ground. This causes Rusev and Truth to argue, and this causes Truth to agree to another match after the commercial break! (Commercial)
United States Championship Match: Rusev vs. R-Truth
We come back as Rusev has Truth in a headlock on the ground. Truth is able to momentarily fight out of the headlock, but Rusev once again take the upper hand, sending Truth into the corner. Rusev goes for a splash, but Truth is able to counter into a pinfall and once again gain a pinfall victory. R-Truth wins
Before Truth can exit the arena, he is attacked by Nakamura. Truth slides back into the ring, but he is attacked by Rusev. Together, Rusev and Nakamura double team the new United States champion. Rusev delivers a Machka Kick and Nakamura delivers a Kinshasa.
We are shown the events that transpired earlier on between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Backstage, Lynch is on her way to exit the arena. She is questioned as to why it was that she refused to seek medical treatment to which she replied that she refused to be back on the shelf again.
Back in the arena, Rey Mysterio makes his entrance. (Commercial)
Rey Mysterio vs Samoa Joe
Before the match, Zelina Vega comes out and taunts Mysterio. She says that he had her banned from ringside because he is so distracted by her. While she is talking, Mysterio is attacked from behind by Andrade. Andrade attempts to deliver a three amigos, a move made famous by the late Eddie Guerrero. Mysterio is able to fight out and position Andrade for a 619. Mysterio is unable to hit it and ends up on the receiving end of a Hammerlock DDT. The match was never able to begin.
Backstage, The Good Brothers confront Rusev on the attack by R-Truth. They tell Rusev that he and Nakamura wouldn’t be able to overcome the two of them. Nakamura joins the group and accepts the challenge.
Up next, the brand new tag team champions will celebrate their victory over The Bar. (Commercial)
The Miz and Shane McMahon make their first entrance as Smackdown Tag Team Champions. The champions greet the Phoenix crowd. The Miz asks Shane exactly what the surprise is. He says the he and the Phoenix crowd are ready to celebrate their new championship. McMahon says that he will provide him a moment that he will never forget for the rest of his life. McMahon has put together highlighting the start of their tag team, all the way to them winning the titles. After the video package, the crowd chants, “You deserve it!” McMahon admits that he was hesitant to be the Miz’s partner at first, but he’s glad that he did. McMahon brings out the Miz’s dad. George Mizanin joins the Miz and Shane in the ring. Shane says he asked George to come because he has something to say to him. George tells his son that he loves him and that he is proud of him and the father and son hug. McMahon then says that they are going to figure out who their next opponent is going to be up next! (Commercial)
Backstage, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose declare themselves into the women’s tag team Elimination Chamber match
Elimination Tag Team Fatal Four Way Match: The Usos vs. The Bar vs. The New Da vs. Heavy Machinery
The match starts and Otis and Jey start the match off. Oti quickly shows his power off by flooring Uso, which allows Kingston to tag in. Otis’ power is on display as he is able to floor Kingston. He makes the tag to Big E and the two beasts have a showdown. The two men try shoulder tackles on one another and they come to a standstill. Eventually, Otis is able to drop E with a bodyslam. WWE Comments On Dean Ambrose’s Contract Rumor, Confirms He Will Not Re-Sign With Company

News broke early Tuesday morning that Dean Ambrose informed Vince McMahon and management that he would not be resigning with WWE after his contract expires in April after WrestleMania.
To further the story, WWE made a public comment on Ambrose’s contract situation, stating that he will not be resigning with the company.
Check out what they had to say down below:
WWE statement on Dean Ambrose: “Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.”
As more is unfolded, we will continue to stay on top of this story.
Ryan’s Thought: Yeah I’m calling for this to be a work. In no way WWE would comment on this, or let alone confirm that Ambrose is not resigning months before his contract is set to expire. This is most likely a shot to AEW and all of stars asking for their releases.

Freddie Roach Reacts To Aaron Pico’s Bellator KO Loss • MMA News
Aaron Pico suffered a devastating knockout loss at Bellator 214 this past weekend (Sat. January 26, 2019). Pico was defeated by Henry Corrales just over a minute into the first round. It ended Pico’s four-fight win streak in which he finished each of those victories via first-round knockout. Pico hadn’t lost since his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in June of 2017 at Bellator 180 from Madison Square Garden. Zach Freeman submitted Pico in just 24 seconds of the first round.
Pico has been highly-regarded as, arguably, the best prospect in MMA today. His knockout loss this past weekend was a shocking one for most fans, to say the least. Even Joe Rogan and company freaked out when watching it live on a Fight Companion. Pico’s boxing coach, the legendary Freddie Roach, spoke to Fightful to discuss Pico’s knockout loss. Here’s what Roach had to say:
“We spoke and the thing is…he made a mistake, he’s a very good puncher and even a better wrestler,” Roach said. “He made the choice to just go in and bang him out of there, when he should’ve made a choice to go wrestle and do what he does best.
“He had the guy out, its just a young man decision…they rush into it. With a little more experience and (if he) takes his time, he’s gotta realize he has more than just one game. He has very good hands…yes, but he has a lot more than that.
“He’s one of the best wrestlers in the world and he should’ve finished the fight with wrestling, in the heat of the moment…things happen.”
What do you think about Roach’s comments regarding Pico’s defeat?

Fans Would “Love” McGregor vs. Cerrone • MMA News
Once his suspension is up, the UFC will certainly want to get Conor McGregor booked for a fight. “The Notorious” hasn’t competed since October when he was defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, due to his involvement in the post-fight brawl between both teams, McGregor has been handed a six-month suspension. He’ll be eligible to return to action on April 6th. One fight many fans have been discussing for McGregor is one against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
Cerrone called the Irishman out after his recent victory over Alexander Hernandez at the UFC on ESPN+ 1 show last week. This is a fight that fans seem to be very excited for, as its been receiving a ton of praise and anticipation on social media. McGregor’s striking coach, Owen Roddy, was recently interviewed on Eurobash. In regards to the possibility of McGregor vs. “Cowboy,” Roddy believes everything about the match-up is “exciting” (via MMA Fighting):
“The Cerrone one, it looks good,” Roddy said. “It’s a fan favorite fight. Cerrone comes out and he looks to swing and Conor’s going to be looking to knock him out. The banter beforehand, I don’t see it being as [turbulent], I think it will be funny.
“Both guys will go back and forth and that will be exciting for fans. I think it would be a very exciting fight.”
McGregor is the hottest ticket in MMA today. So it’s no surprise that other fighters, such as Max Holloway, are also gunning for the match-up. But Roddy believes that fight fans will “love” what McGregor and Cerrone would do together inside the cage:
“[Holloway is] putting the digs in. I saw the post of him the other day in the Jameson [Distillery]…but I don’t know. I think the Cerrone one…because [McGregor and Cerrone] both engaged directly…
“Conor said he’d do it and then Cerrone said he’d do it…I think that might be in the pipeline,” Roddy said. “I can’t confirm that 100 percent obviously, but I think the fans would love it.
“It’s a great fight that people want to see. They can see the two of them in there, standing up and having a bang.”
What do you think about a potential fight between McGregor and Cerrone?

Dan Henderson Believes Fedor May be All Used up After Bellator 214 Loss • MMA News
MMA Legend Dan Henderson has sounded off the state of Fedor Emelianenko’s career after suffering his most recent loss.
This past Saturday night in the headliner of Bellator 214 at The Forum in Inglewood, California on the Paramount Network, Ryan Bader finished Fedor Emelianenko to win the vacant Bellator heavyweight title.
Emelianenko is a historic figure in the history of the MMA game and no doubt an MMA Legend. In the eyes of Henderson, he praised Bader for a job well done but also thinks that Fedor’s chin is suspect and could be all used up.
“Damn good job from Bader, for sure. Fedor’s had kind of a suspect chin,” Henderson told Fight Hub TV (H/T to MMAMania). “He’s still super dangerous. I figured [Bader] would win but not quite in that manner. It seems like [Fedor] could be all used up, unfortunately, I would love to see him out there more, but.”
The MMA legend finished former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in the main event of the Bellator 198 event at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois via strikes in the first round in a Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix quarterfinal bout. His next fight saw him beat Chael Sonnen on at Bellator 208 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York by first-round TKO.

NSAC Hearing Live Stream Today (Jan. 29) Featuring Jon Jones, Khabib & McGregor Settlements • MMA News
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) will be holding an important hearing today (Jan. 29).
On the docket will be a decision on Jon Jones’ fighting future in the state of Nevada. Jones is attempting to get his license in the state so he can defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight gold against Anthony Smith at UFC 235 on March 2. Jones was scheduled to fight in Las Vegas back in December, but a trace amount of turinabol was found in his system. While this was deemed a pulsing effect by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the NSAC needed more time to assess the situation.
There’s also the settlements reportedly entered by UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov and McGregor are temporarily suspended due to their involvement in the UFC 229 brawl. McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis as well as Nurmagomedov’s teammates Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov are also temporarily suspended. Abubakar and Tukhugov have reportedly entered settlements as well.
Nurmagomedov and McGregor will not be attending the hearing. MMA News will post a live stream (courtesy of MMAFightingonSBN) of the meeting, which begins at 12 p.m. ET. Once the stream wraps up, keep it locked on our homepage for the fallout from the NSAC hearing.

Strowman then positions the steel steps and sends Corbin head first into them multiple times. Out of nowhere, McIntyre flattens Strowman with a Claymore kick. McIntyre and Corbin proceed to attack Strowman. The two end the attack with a double chokeslam onto the steel steps. (Commercial)
The WWE Universal Champion makes his was to the ring with a chorus of boos in his direction. In the ring, Paul Heyman says that this should be the easiest of Rollins’ career, and that is to challenge Daniel Bryan. He says that they would be on a great match, but Rollins does not want to get into a fight with his client, Brock Lesnar. Seth Rollins interrupts Paul Heyman and makes his way to the ring. He quickly gets into the face of Brock Lesnar and goes right to the injured midsection of Brock Lesnar. He attempts to go for the stomp, but Lesnar is able to catch him and deliver an F5. Brock picks Rollins up once again and delivers four more massive F5’s. Rollins, on the ground, asks Lesnar if that is all he has. We end the night with Lesnar delivering one more F5 to Seth Rollins.

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan Threatens To Take Henry Cejudo’s UFC Title • MMA News
WWE Champion Daniel Bryan Threatens To Take Henry Cejudo’s UFC Title • MMA News
Henry Cejudo has suddenly found himself in the middle of the WWE world. Shortly after his recent flyweight title defense over TJ Dillashaw, Cejudo revealed he has a crush on WWE star Nikki Bella. Bella then responded to Cejudo’s offer to date her, to which she accepted and said she’d like to train with the 125-pound champ as well. Now, Bella’s brother-in-law, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, has interjected.
Bryan is married to Bella’s twin sister, Brie. He wasn’t too happy with the ongoing flirtation between Nikki and Cejudo. Speaking to ABC Sports to promote last night’s (Sun. January 27, 2019) Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV), Bryan had this to say about Cejudo (via MMA Mania):
“There [are] a lot of people who want to think that they’re the best – lots of them, but guess what? Not a single one of those people are Daniel Bryan,” said Bryan. “There [are] a lot of people that go around and they hold championship titles and they think they’re so tough, and they think that they’re this, and they think that they’re that.
“None of them are Daniel Bryan. Henry Cejudo, a Valley resident, who just defended his UFC championship last Saturday, wants to go out on a date with my sister-in-law. Guess what?
“Henry Cejudo, you’re not the man that Daniel Bryan is. You fight Daniel Bryan, you go down every time. That’s why I’m the best.”
Earlier this week, UFC flyweight champion and AZ resident @HenryCejudo made it known he would like to go on a date with Nikki Bella.
Nikki’s brother-in-law, WWE champion and fellow AZ resident @WWEDanielBryan, doesn’t seem thrilled with that idea.

Cejudo responded to Bryan’s comments, threatening to go to WWE and take Bryan’s belt away from him:
“@WWEDanielBryan there’s enough room in The Valley for a King and a Prince. As Prince, you should know your role & make sure you pour my Bella Radici wine to the rim. PS. Don’t get too attached to that @WWE belt, I am on a bit of a roll myself. @ufc @espnmma @arielhelwani”

Bryan fired back by saying he could drop down to 125 pounds and take Cejudo’s belt away faster than he beat Dillashaw:
“Watch your mouth, boy, or after I beat AJ at #RoyalRumble, I’ll drop down to 125 and come tap you faster than you ko’d Dillashaw. #HeelHookSucka #KingOfChampions #PlanetsChamp P.S. Drinking Bella Radici is the closest you’ll ever get to my sister-in-law @BellaTwins”

Cris Cyborg Seen at WWE Performance Center

Cris Cyborg was seen today at the WWE Performance Center. Cyborg is a former Strikeforce and UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion and considered to be one of the best female MMA fighters in history. This would continue a positive trend WWE has built in the last few years of bringing in former female MMA fighters to give legitimacy to the women’s division. We don’t know much about her trip to the Performance Center but she’s not just there to say hello. We’ll continue to keep everyone updated as the story unfolds.

Joe Rogan Gives His Take On Mayweather vs. Khabib PPV Buys
Joe Rogan Gives His Take On Mayweather vs. Khabib PPV Buys
If Floyd Mayweather vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov happened, Joe Rogan believes it’ll bring in a hefty pay-per-view buyrate.
It’s no secret that Mayweather is done with mega boxing match-ups to determine who the number one pound-for-pound boxer is. At the age of 41, going on 42 next month, Mayweather appears content raking in the millions boxing mixed martial artists. He stopped Conor McGregor in the 10th round back in Aug. 2017 and destroyed Tenshin Nasukawa at RIZIN 14.
Joe Rogan Weighs In On Mayweather vs. Khabib PPV Buys
Rogan held a Fight Companion along with Brendan Schaub, Eddie Bravo, and Bryan Cullen for Bellator 214. Naturally, the Nurmagomedov vs. Mayweather conversation happened. Rogan said the bout would draw a big pay-per-view number (via MMAFighting.com):
“I think if Khabib stepped in and tried to fight Floyd right now, right now, if they tried to set it up in two months, I guarantee you it would sell at least a million PPV buys. A million. It does a million. Here’s the thing, who was Floyd’s – was it [Manny] Pacquiao and then [Andre Berto] and then retired, right? And [Manny] Pacquiao got the giant, most PPV numbers ever, but then [Andre Berto], if I’m correct, only got a few hundred thousand, like 300,000 PPV buys. . . So he fights Andre Berto, that only gets like 350,000 or something like that, then he fights Conor and it’s millions of PPVs, if he fought Khabib, it would still be better than fighting any of those other guys.”
Mayweather vs. Nurmagomedov is merely talk and UFC president Dana White has said that the only way “Money” gets that fight is if he signs a UFC contract. Buzz surrounding the fight started when Nurmagomedov appeared in a video with Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe teasing a fight. While some thought “The Eagle” was joking, Mayweather quickly called for the bout to take place.
