The co-main event will feature Paul Daley who faces Saad Awad. Awad took the fight on short notice. The undefeated Patrick Mix will be matched up against Isaiah Chapman.

Fan favorite fighters like Nick Newell will face Manny Muro and “Baby Slice” Kevin Ferguson Jr. returns against Craig Campbell.

UFC Singapore goes down today (Sat. October 26, 2019) from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion compiled an excellent card for fight fans to enjoy.

It’s headlined by a meeting between Demian Maia and Ben Askren in a welterweight showdown.

The former title contender beat Anthony Martin at the UFC Minneapolis event from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota back in June by decision. This was his latest fight before this event.

Prior to that, he beat Lyman Good in February via a standing rear-naked choke submission in the first round. This fight snapped a three-fight losing skid to the likes of Tyron Woodley, Colby Covington, and Kamaru Usman all by unanimous decision.

Askren scored a controversial submission win over former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at the UFC 235 pay-per-view event. This marked his promotional debut. In his previous fight, he lost to Jorge Masvidal at the UFC 239 pay-per-view event from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada by first-round KO.

The co-headliner will see Michael Johnson vs. Stevie Ray in a lightweight bout.

Frank Camacho vs. Beneil Dariush in a lightweight bout, Cyril Gane vs. Don’Tale Mayes in a heavyweight bout, and Muslim Salikhov vs. Laureano Staropoli in a welterweight bout rounds out the five bout main card.

UFC Tampa goes down tonight (Sat. October 12, 2019) from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion compiled an excellent card for fight fans to enjoy.

It’s headlined by a meeting between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson in a women’s strawweight bout.

Jedrzejczyk had gone 1-3 in her last four fights. Valentina Shevchenko scored a decision win over Jedrzejczyk to earn win the UFC women’s flyweight title in the UFC 231 co-headliner. This event went down Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Prior to that fight, the former UFC women’s strawweight champion scored a decision win over Tecia Torres in a women’s strawweight bout. This fight went down on the main card of the UFC on FOX 30 event.

Waterson was on a three-fight winning streak coming into this fight. Her previous three victories came against Cortney Casey in April 2018 and Felice Herrig at UFC 229. As seen at UFC 238, Suarez beat Ansaroff by unanimous decision.

In her latest outing, she scored a decision win over Karolina Kowalkiewicz in a women’s strawweight bout. That fight took place at the UFC Philadelphia event at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on ESPN.

The co-headliner will see Cub Swanson vs. Kron Gracie in a featherweight showdown is expected.

Rounding out the six bout main card is Niko Price vs. James Vick in a welterweight bout, Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas in a women’s strawweight bout, Matt Frevola vs. Luis Pena in a lightweight bout, and Eryk Anders vs. Gerald Meerschaert in a middleweight bout.

It’s headlined by a meeting between a UFC middleweight title clash between Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya.

Whittaker was originally slated to defend his title against Kelvin Gastelum at the UFC 234 pay-per-view. However, he had to pull out of the fight at the last minute due to a hernia and collapsed bowel. The UFC champ is on a nine-fight win streak heading into this bout.

The rising contender became a UFC middleweight champion when he picked up a decision win over Kelvin Gastelum in the co-headliner of the UFC 236 pay-per-view event. The show went down on April 13, 2019 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

UFC Copenhagen Results: Cannonier TKO’s Hermansson

UFC Copenhagen went down today (Sat. September 28, 2019) from the Royal Arena. The world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion compiled an excellent card for fight fans to enjoy.

It was headlined by a meeting between Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier. The co-headliner saw Mark Madsen vs. Danilo Belluardo in a lightweight bout.

Rounding out the six-bout main card was Gunnar Nelson vs. Gilbert Burns in a welterweight bout, Ion Cutelaba vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. in a light heavyweight bout, Michal Oleksiejczuk vs. Ovince Saint Preux in a light heavyweight showdown, and Nicolas Dalby vs. Alex Oliveira in a welterweight battle.

Jack Hermansson vs. Jared Cannonier

Hermansson scored an early-round takedown in the first but Cannonier stayed calm and made his way up to his feet where he started to shut down takedown attempts going forward. In the second round, Cannonier caught him moving forward and landed a nice uppercut that dropped him. Cannonier swarms him with strikes on the ground for the win.

Mark Madsen vs. Danilo Belluardo

Madsen immediately took him down then rained down strikes to earn the first-round finish. Complete domination.

Gunnar Nelson vs. Gilbert Burns

In round one, Burns was getting the better of Nelson on the feet with his strikes as he was doing a nice job of landing hard leg kicks. That turned around once Nelson clinched with him and took him down to close the round. Nelson worked for a takedown in the second round but Burns was putting up a good fight with his grappling and even teased a choke at the end of the round. Bruns did land a good flying knee strike. More of the same in the third round as it was a close fight. In the end, the judges gave the win to Burns.

Ion Cutelaba vs. Khalil Rountree Jr.

This was a quick one as Cutelaba took him down and then smashed him with strikes and elbows on the ground to wrap it up.

Michal Oleksiejczuk vs. Ovince Saint Preux

Oleksiecjzuk started fast in each round which appeared to give him an advantage with his strikes and clinch work. OSP continued to work for takedowns, which he was successful at. In the second round, OSP locked in a Von Preux choke for the win.

Nicolas Dalby vs. Alex Oliveira

In round one after mixing it up with strikes, Oliveria scored a takedown where he controlled him with his grappling and landed some decent strikes. In round two, Dalby scored a takedown and kept him there for the majority of the round with some good grappling. Once, Olivera got to his feet, Dalby pounced on him with strikes until Alexa took him down and caught him with an up kick. Round three ended with Dalby landing some big elbow strikes but the clock expired. The judges gave the win to Dalby.

Mousasi Tops Machida In Rematch

UPDATE: The Bellator 228 results are in. Gegard Mousasi defeated Lyoto Machida in the headliner.

The time has arrived for Bellator 228.

The card will take place tonight (Sept. 28) inside the The Forum in Inglewood, California. The main card will air live at 10 p.m. ET on DAZN. Peep the Bellator 228 weigh-in results here.

In the main event of Bellator 228, Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi will run it back. Machida scored a unanimous decision win over Mousasi back in 2014 and hopes to go 2-0 against the former Bellator middleweight champion. The co-headliner will feature a featherweight title bout between champion Patricio Freire and Juan Archuleta. The bout will also serve as an opening round match in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix.

UFC Mexico City Results: Rodriguez vs. Stephens

UFC Mexico City goes down tonight (Sat. September 21, 2019) from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico. The world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion compiled an excellent card for fight fans to enjoy.

It’s headlined by a featherweight meeting between Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens.

Rodriguez is coming off a spectacular last-second knockout win over Chan Sung Jung at UFC Denver back in November. He has won an impressive nine of his last ten fights and currently boasts a record of 11-2.

Stephens has lost two straight after going on a three-fight winning streak. Prior to UFC 235, he dropped a first-round TKO loss to former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo back in July 2018.

This comes after scoring some of the biggest wins in his pro MMA career. He decisioned Gilbert Melendez at UFC 215 then finished Doo Ho Choi in January 2018 and Josh Emmett the following month. Now, he’s in search of his first victory in over a year.

The co-headliner will see Carla Esparza vs. Alexa Grasso step inside of the Octagon for a women’s strawweight bout.

Brandon Moreno vs. Askar Askarov in a flyweight bout, Irene Aldana vs. Vanessa Melo in a women’s bantamweight bout, and Martin Bravo vs. Steven Peterson in a featherweight bout rounds out the main card.

UFC Vancouver Results: Cerrone vs. Gaethje

UFC Vancouver goes down tonight (Sat. September 14, 2019) from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion compiled an excellent card for fight fans to enjoy.

It’s headlined by a meeting between a lightweight clash between Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje.

Before this fight, Gaethje scored a first-round knockout win over Edson Barboza in a lightweight bout that served as the UFC Philadelphia headliner. This show went down in March at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on ESPN.

Prior to that, Gaethje was able to pick up the first-round KO win over James Vick in the main event of UFC Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was on a two-fight winning streak.

Cerrone had a three-fight winning streak before his previous bouts. During that time, he beat Mike Perry, Alexander Hernandez, and Al Iaquinta. He lost to former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson at the UFC 238 pay-per-view event from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on June 8, 2019.

Glover Teixeira vs. Nikita Krylov in a light heavyweight bout will serve as the co-headliner.

Todd Duffee vs. Jeff Hughes in a heavyweight bout, Michel Pereira vs. Tristan Connelly in a welterweight bout, Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Uriah Hall in a middleweight bout, and Misha Cirkunov vs. Jim Crute in a light heavyweight bout round out the main card.

UFC Shenzhen goes down today (Sat. August 31, 2019) from the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre. The world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion compiled an excellent card for fight fans to enjoy.

It’s headlined by a meeting between UFC women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade and challenger Weili Zhang.

Andrade (20-6) is riding a four-fight win streak with victories over Claudia Gadelha, Tecia Torres and Karolina Kowalkiewicz. In her latest fight, Andrade had a memorable night when she KO’d Rose Namajunas by a slam in the second round to win the UFC women’s strawweight title.

This served as the main event of the UFC 237 pay-per-view (PPV) event that took place on May 11, 2019, at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

Zhang (19-1) is 3-0 under the UFC banner. She holds wins over Danielle Taylor and Jessica Aguilar. In her latest fight, she beat Tecia Torres by decision at the UFC 235 PPV event on March 2, 2019 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The co-headliner will see Li Jingliang vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in a welterweight bout take place.

Mark De La Rosa vs. Kai Kara-France in a flyweight bout, Song Kenan vs. Derrick Krantz in a welterweight bout bout, and Mizuki Inoue vs. Wu Yanan in a flyweight bout will round out the main card.

DWCS 26 Live Results Tonight (Aug. 27) • MMA News

The season finale of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series goes down tonight (Aug. 27).

The UFC Apex in Las Vegas plays host to the 26th edition of DWCS. Headlining the card will be middleweight action as Dusko Todorovic meets Teddy Ash. Taking the co-main event spot are also middleweights as Kailan Hill battles Impa Kasanganay. Peter Barrett and Sang Hoon Yoo are set to collide as are Dustin Joynson and Ben Sosoli. Getting the main card started will be a featherweight tilt between T.J. Brown and Dylan Lockard.

All fighters on tonight’s card will be vying for a spot on the UFC roster. In past editions of DWCS, fighters have also been offered spots on “The Ultimate Fighter,” as well as developmental contracts.

NXT To Air Live on USA – Officially Announced

As announced this morning via Twitter, NXT will begin airing weekly on the USA Network beginning September 18th, 2019.

“The move to USA Network provides an opportunity to deepen our relationship with NBCUniversal and further build the NXT brand,” said Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman & CEO. “Over the long term, our goal is to develop a following that can be monetized to the same level as our flagship programs, Raw and Smakdown”

“USA Network and WWE have one of the longest and most successful partnerships in television history,” said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks – USA and SYFY. “As the No. 1 cable entertainment network, we’re excited to add NXT to our weekly lineup alongside powerhouse flagship Raw and to bring a new generation of Superstars to a wide audience.”

PWI’s Mike Johnson provided just a few more details this morning regarding the show’s status on the WWE Network. According to Mike, the show will air on a 24 hour tape delay on Thursdays at 8pm eastern.

Further Details on CMLL-WWE Talks

Last week news circulated about a potential CMLL-WWE discussion. Wrestling News World’s Thomas Fenton has learned a few more details about this situation.

Thomas Fenton reports:

Wrestling News World has learned that CMLL was nervous about the AEW-AAA relationship and how it would benefit their longtime rival company. CMLL approached WWE to have a discussion about a potential partnership. The discussions were with Triple H. CMLL wants access to WWE talent, which Triple H was interested in on a limited basis. However, WWE would want the ability to buy out CMLL deals if the company had interest in their talent. WWE has an interest in one particular CMLL talent, who is unnamed at this time, and would like to use these terms to buyout that contract. At this time, Wrestling News World can confirm that CMLL is not for sale. The discussion was simply a working relationship in response to the ever-changing wrestling landscape in 2019.

Current CMLL President, Sofia Alonso, said earlier this year in a rare interview, “she has no plans for a new era and wants to keep the good things CMLL and Pace Alonso have already done. She would like to see the different departments working closer together while continuing the traditions of Lucha Libre. Sofia expects there will be differences because she comes from a different generation than her father, but doesn’t expect them to be big changes.” She also stated, “CMLL going down is not an option.”

No information has been provided concerning the extent this partnership would effect CMLL’s existing relationship with New Japan pro Wrestling. Wrestling News World will provide you more information on this potential partnership as we receive them.

With the anticipation announcement of NXT moving to USA on Wednesday Nights for 8-10 expected within the next 36 hours (likley during RAW on USA). We are now able to further confirm that as of today the plan is for the NXT Takeovers to be renamed eventually and will run head to head against the AEW PPVs

As of today the schedules will all have to be changed. It is also unknown if the big NXT events will also be held the weekend of the big four WWE events. WWE does not want to oversaturate the audience, but does want to run the big shows head to head.
